The Foreign Language Department of Kennesaw State University invites applications for a part-time instructor in Japanese, beginning in Aug., 2021 The teaching load is one three-credit course in the Fall and two in Spring, 2022. The Fall course is on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and can be either synchronous online or face-to-face/in-classroom.
Qualifications: A Master's degree or foreign language equivalent is required, ideally in Japanese, Asian Studies, Second Language Acquisition, or a related field, and preferably with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the target language. Native or near-native fluency in Japanese is required. The ideal candidate should have experience teaching beginning and/or intermediate Japanese at the college level, and show the ability and enthusiasm to teach communicative, learner-centered, language and culture courses, and to support the Japanese program and the mission of the college.
