.The Department of Modern & Classical Languages at Columbus State University is seeking qualified applicants to teach two Japanese classes per semester at the Elementary and Intermediate levels. This position must be willing to work in a coordinated program; be willing to comply with teaching requirements; and be able to participate in select professional development activities.
The successful candidate should have an earned Master’s degree and at least 18 graduate credit hours in the Japanese language and/or literature. MA in Japanese language and/or literature is preferred. The selected candidate must have native or near-native fluency in Japanese and the ability to operate an Online Learning Management System. Remote instruction is possible.
Applicants who hold these qualifications but who are unable to work as part-time instructors for CSU, are encouraged to directly contact Dr. Bonamy regarding the option to work as an External Examiner using the NASILP model of language instruction.
