About
The Georgia Association of Teachers of Japanese (GATJ) was established in 1994 as an organization for Japanese teachers in Georgia. GATJ is committed to promoting and improving the teaching of Japanese language and culture. Members of GATJ are K-12 teachers, college instructors and faculty, and people who are interested in Japanese language education.
GATJ sponsors two major events each year: an annual New Year Card Contest and Japan Academic Challenge & Speech Contest. GATJ acknowledges and appreciates the generous support and cooperation we receive from the Consul-General and staff at the Japanese Consulate in Atlanta.
