Job Description:
Department of World Languages and Cultures at Spelman college is looking for a part-time Japanese instructor for AY21-22.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach one to two (1-2) Japanese language classes at a beginning, intermediate or advanced level, including the responsibilities for designing the syllabus, grading students’ work, and offering regular office hours for academic advisement. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to work with other faculty members in support of Spelman College’s goal to achieve excellence in teaching.

Qualifications:
Master of Arts (M.A.) in Japanese language pedagogy.
Teaching Japanese language as a foreign/second language, Japanese linguistics, or related fields.
Native or near-native proficiency in both Japanese and English.
